Gallatin County offers an incredible array of outdoor activities and a rich network of community and backcountry trails and waterways. As Gallatin County continues to grow and more and more people are discovering opportunities to enjoy our public resources, we must remind everyone to recreate with courtesy and kindness.

The Outside Kind Alliance, Gallatin Valley is a partnership of organizations working together to balance our growth and maintain and steward our resources. Our goal is to provide consistent messages to help everyone be respectful of each other and the resources that make living and playing here so wonderful.

Hike Kind: Be a part of your community

When dogs and their owners recreate in the outdoors, we are part of a team of trail and park users who need to be respectful of one another in order to maximize the enjoyment of outdoor spaces for everyone.

 
 

Hunt Kind: The Hunting Code of Ethics

Hunting is an important part of Montana’s culture and heritage. Hunting has traditions that stretch back generations and has developed its own culture depending on your location, quarry, and weapon choice. Hunters need represent themselves and this tradition in the best possible way.

 
 

Fish Kind: Protect the Resource for Everyone

As more and more people enjoy the outdoors and fishing, it is more and more imperative that anglers Fish Kind and protect the resource. This means using a little common sense, respecting other anglers/water users and private property, and leaving the landscape better than you found it. That way everyone can enjoy what many believe to be Montana’s best treasure.

Physical fitness is vital to appreciating promoting our outdoor lifestyle. While individuals will differ in their pace and distances, it is not important how fast one runs but that one runs.
